- Target Sectors/Occupants: Offshore wind, manufacturing, installation, storage, assembly and deployment, renewables, hydrogen production, advanced manufacturing, battery manufacturing, sustainable aviation fuels and data centres.
- Development Floorspace (m2): 178 ha of tax site is part of a larger site of over 678ha developable land. AHP will develop 1.3km of new heavy duty deep-water quays.
- Planning and Consents: AHP has a Development Consent Order for the development of c.1.3 metre deep-water water quays and the provision of onshore facilities for the manufacture, assembly and storage of components relating to the offshore renewable energy sector and the provision of ecological mitigation and compensation schemes. AEP has an expedited planning consent for B1 (E Class), B2 & B8 uses. Ecological and habitat compensation has been providing shovel ready land available for the development.

How do existing local
businesses benefit?
We will know more about this as details emerge. However, it is the intention to incentive new investors to the area to use local suppliers, to boost existing businesses across the Humber. Businesses will also benefit from the general uplift in economic activity in the area catalysed by the freeport.
How can my land be added
as a tax site or customs site?
It is our ambition that if Humber Freeport is successful it will grow over time. However, it will take Government approval to add new sites. We hope new Government guidance on this will be made available in the future to help guide how sites can be expanded.
